Refund Policy
Version: v1.0 | Effective: 2026-08-30
ParcelDossier is a property assessment service sold through AWS
Marketplace by Cheppers Zrt., and this document is the stated refund
policy for software charges for ParcelDossier.
1. Rights you
already have through AWS Marketplace
These rights come from AWS Marketplace itself. They are stated first
because they are your baseline, and nothing further down in this policy
reduces them.
- Cancellation within 48 hours. If you cancel a ParcelDossier
subscription within 48 hours of a purchase that was not made under a
private offer, AWS issues you a full refund. This is automatic, it is
handled by AWS, and it is not subject to Cheppers’ discretion or
approval.
- Metering errors. AWS may issue refunds on Cheppers’ behalf for
software charges that result from metering errors.
- These rights derive from the AWS Marketplace seller terms that
Cheppers accepted by listing ParcelDossier. Cheppers cannot waive them,
and this policy is not to be read as limiting them.
If any statement in this policy appears to conflict with an AWS
Marketplace refund right, the AWS Marketplace right prevails.
2. How this product is billed
The refund position in section 3 only makes sense alongside how
ParcelDossier meters, so the billing basis is stated here.
- Only computed assessment dimensions are metered. This is the “no
hit, no charge” basis: work that could not be computed is never
billed.
- An assessment that fails, or that returns no computable dimension,
is never billed.
- An assessment that is fully degraded meters zero.
- Metering derives from the assessment result, never from the number
of requests you send. Submitting a request is not, by itself, a
charge.
3. Cheppers’ policy for
metered assessments
- A completed assessment is not refundable. The compute and inference
cost has already been incurred at the point the assessment is delivered,
and under section 2 you are only charged for work that was actually
computed.
- For a demonstrable service defect, Cheppers will issue a service
credit or, where AWS’s tooling permits, a billing adjustment. A
demonstrable service defect means an assessment that was metered but
that Cheppers determines was not correctly computed, or a duplicate
meter recorded for a single assessment.
- Service credits are at Cheppers’ discretion. Where Cheppers refuses
a request, Cheppers will state the reason.
- Seller-initiated billing adjustments in AWS KYC countries depend on
Cheppers’ KYC verification, multi-factor authentication, and
secondary-user status being complete. That status is tracked in the
seller-registration record; where it is not complete, the AWS-side
routes in section 1 remain available to you.
- No refund is offered for a subscription period during which you
chose not to submit assessments, because nothing was metered in that
period and therefore nothing was charged for it.
4. How to request a refund
Contact Cheppers at product@cheppers.com.
Cheppers responds to a refund request within 5 business days.
Include the following in your request:
- your AWS account identifier;
- the assessment identifiers concerned; and
- a description of the issue, including what you expected and what you
received.
You may also raise a refund request through AWS Support where you
prefer to do so, and AWS may act on it under the rights described in
section 1 without Cheppers’ involvement.
Where this policy is
published
This policy is published at
https://parceldossier.com/legal/refunds.
The same text is entered in the refund policy field of the
ParcelDossier listing in AWS Partner Central. That field is editable
after publication through an Update refund policy change request, and
any change is made in both places so the two copies do not drift.
